Angola is almost there!

Great news, people.

Organisers of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola have announced that the four stadia to be used for the tournament will be completed by the end of September.

The Nations Cup runs from January 10 to 30 and will be hosted in Angola for the first time. The provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Cabinda and HuĂla have all had new stadia built specially for the competition, and it appears construction work is well on track.

Manuel Mariano, director for marketing and communication of the Organising Committee, said at a press conference on Saturday that the stadia would be handed over to his organisation by October 30, with the Luanda facility hoping to host its first match on November 11.

The other three venues will then have official openings in November or December.

CAF president Issa Hayatou is currently on a tour of the country, assessing its readiness for the continental showpiece.

Now, with only a few months to go to the under 17 World Cup in Nigeria, where have THEY reached?

*sigh*
